Note : This is only for ascention gear bought with ST or HG's. For normal gear this is pretty much the same, besides the fact buying 20 pieces of gear is cheaper than a few SJ's in order to get it +5 or even +6. After that it's the same as in the guide below for asc gear.
From my own expirience I have found out a way to refine as far as +8 for only about 10SJ's.
I would only recommend doing this for lvl 120+ gear. And actualy lv 135+.
Go to your faction agent and you can buy gear with honor gems (25G per HG. on this moment).
- In short (tl:dr)
The trick is that you have to get 1 piece of gear to a higher + than the other parts.
When the other part fails more than once, the chance of succes increases.
Example, I have one +7 weapon, and one +6 weapon. I try to make the +6 to +7 with a SJ and i fail, and go back to +5. I refine the +5 with a SJ and it fails to +4. Your chances have now increased alot to get your +7 to +8. And if you want even more chance, try to refine the +4 to +5. If you fail again, the chance of getting the +7 to +8 is even higher, However the chance that you fail 3 times in a row (and from +4 to +5 which isn't that hard) is not that big. That brings me to the following note,
Note : If you fail a few times, the increased chance of succes will only be for the first item that succeeds !
- Step by step
If you want 1 +8 item, you will need around 10SJ's and 4 pieces of the gear you want +8
- Refine all your gear to +1, do not use SJ's. There is about a 1 in 8 chance you will fail from 0 to +1
- Refine all your gear to +2, do not use SJ's. There is about a 1 in 4 chance you will fail from +1 to +2
- Refine 2 gears to +3. using SJ's is recommended if you already shattered 1 or more gear(s)
- Refine the other(s) to +3 without using SJ's. Now you can have 2 options : It fails / It succeeds
- 1. It fails : Refine the +3 to +4 (using a SJ is recommended), if it fails, you can make the other +3 go to +4 without using a SJ (this will succeed 90% of the time)
- 2. It works : Refine the other part to +4, and go back to the previous step 1.
- You will now have 2x +4 if its correct. If you have more +4 or +3, refine it without using SJ and go back to step 1.
- Go from +4 to +5 with a SJ. If it fails : make it +4 again with a SJ (this will most likely work, if this fails, you can make the other +4 to +5 without SJ (65%chance it succeeds), if you have alot of SJ's play it safe and use one.
If it worked and its +5, do the same with the other, and repeat the last step if it failed, however if you go back to +2 try to make the first +5 go to +6, use a SJ
- You will now have 2x +5 or 1x +6
Continue using this trick till +8. I haven't tried +9 yet cause the chance of failing is too high in my eyes. Also sigils are a waist of money. You will need 97Jaden for a sigil from +7 to +8, and that's simply not worth it !!
Note : Refining 1 piece multiple times will also increase the chance of failing every time you refine it again. So switch between gears if you succeeded or failed !
